Nick Froelich

Nick Froelich is a jazz pianist, singer-songwriter and music educator located in northern Colorado. He is currently getting a Masters of Music in jazz piano from the University of Northern Colorado. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts Technology, he moved to Denver, Colorado in 2022. In Denver, he taught piano lessons and worked as a recording engineer at an audiobook production studio. 

Nick previously studied piano with Mark Davis in Wisconsin, and currently studies with Dana Landry. While currently specializing in jazz, he has experience playing many genres of music including hip-hop, indie-rock, RnB, fusion, neo-soul and writing original singer-songwriter music. Since beginning school at University of Northern Colorado, he's performed with a variety of ensembles including Smoke Combo, UNC Lab II Big Band, Vocalese and Supersax. 

As a teacher, Nick seeks to work with students to meet their personal goals and help with jazz theory and improvisation, songwriting, pop/rock, and other various focuses. Additionally, his undergraduate degree focused on music technology; he is proficient in DAWS such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro X and is comfortable with recording and mixing a variety of genres. He is currently booking gigs and offering piano lessons in the Northern Colorado area.
